December 8, 1977 (2nd Post): I recall the reasons why our Pleasant Street ministry was God’s will. December 8, 1977: On leaving Bell Island, Newfoundland, and traveling to Halifax, Nova Scotia. I reflect on our Pleasant Street ministry. July 31, 1977 (2nd Post): The Salvation Army wants us to be part of their outreach, but their denominational beliefs conflict with our reading of 2 Cor. 3:17 and the Spirit of liberty. July 31, 1977 Sunday: Cindy given a passage, Joel 2:1-17, which is an answer to my prayers for her to feel this is OUR mission, not just mine. This passage is even more powerful when broken down into 7 short statements, as I’ve done here. July 25, 1977 (3rd Post): What do dry bones scattered in a desert valley have in common with heaven? July 25, 1977 (2nd Post): Because of our renewed vision of the church, we call Joe and Marie about obeying God’s call to establish a Christian Community. But they will have none of it. July 25, 1977: A receive a vision of the church, reinforcing Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry and scattered bones. Easter 1977 (8th Post): Another example of our not listening to God, when we decided to start our seed business in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Easter 1977 (7th Post): Self-centeredness and bitterness are often the unintended consequence of disobeying God’s will and yielding to circumstance. Easter 1977 (6th Post): Christ’s call to “abide in me” and what that means. The tyranny of circumstances. |
