We’d like to introduce ourselves.  I’m Leroy Grey and together with my wife, Vonda, we have created a ministry/business called “3Circles Church Communities, Inc“ (3CCC). 

You can get to know us a little better personally by reading about how we met and got married… it’s a pretty amazing story!

It’s pretty obvious that many people today dislike religious people.  So do I.  As a spiritually aware person I’ve been kicked out of Churches.  I ask questions and am unafraid to confront people over issues they obviously haven’t thought much about.  Own what you believe and if confronted by superior reason, change.

We are redefining spirituality as well as the definition and purpose of Church.  That is what God has called me to do.   Over the past 35 years God has reinforced my calling by revealing over 40 basic principles that lead to more love and unity.  God has also intervened on my behalf over 25 times, in ways that can only be described as truely miraculous.

My wife Vonda has also been touched by God in miraculous ways.  She contracted a viral infection from a bug bite that inflamed her brain and nearly killed her.  When she came out of her two month long coma she couldn’t talk or walk and doctors said she’d never walk again.   Today she walks with the aid of a rolling walker and is able to converse.

Together, our sole, overriding purpose is to establish online and offline communities that are faith-based, integrated environmentally (100% LEED certified) and that promote those principles of life God revealed to me over nearly 3 decades of morning meditations.

Today, Vonda and I don’t “Go” to Church.  We have seen and experienced a better way and understand all too well that today’s “Christian” Church system is at it’s core hypocritical.   It is a pretend love that gathers together only for a few hours a week, regardless of how often people SAY they care or do little acts of kindness for one another.   It is a pretend love that allows those one confesses to love, as brothers and sisters in Christ, to remain in poverty generation after generation.  By that statement I’m not advocating a redistribution of wealth.  I’m just saying that people who love one another help each other, help those less fortunate to learn a new trade or establish their own business, whatever it takes to help them help themselves up out of poverty.    When people stop going to church and start BEING the church, then such hypocritical “love” will end.

Obviously 3CCC seeks to gather a relatively narrow segment of society.   But many of the ideas God has given me for this new type of community are applicable to a much wider audience.  To that end I have developed a 10 point platform for sustainable community development I call “Community 3.0 “.  You can find out more by visiting our 3CCC website and scrolling down to my Community 3.0 description.

On a more pesonal note, I invited Jesus Christ into my heart, on November 24, 1973.  This began a transformation process that continues to this day.  Everyone should grow spiritually, just as we grow physically, emotionally and intellectually.  And we can if we abandon the idea that God spoke everything of importance to men of old and therefore no longer speaks directly to us.  That is a lie.  Those who have a religioius agenda want you to focus on the physical, written word, rather than on the spiritual, Living WORD!!

The bible does teach us many things, is instructive and full of wisdom.  But the Bible can only teach us “ABOUT” God.   To KNOW God, we must spend time alone with God, cultivating our ability to listen and hear with spiritual ears.  To get this message out to the world I created my Wisdom Blog, called “Transform Yourself“, this journal blog, and the 3Circles Church Communities membership site.

Seven months after my initial spiritual rebirth I had the most amazing experience of my entire life.  This was over 35 years ago, on the day of summer solstice, June, 1974.  It was then that I was given my life work.  For those interested in the many miraculous ways God has intervened to fulfill his purposes in my life, I recommend reading this journal in it’s entirety.  I guarantee you’ll be challenged spiritually as you read!

As a ministry we are officially in pre-launch.   Many may wonder why its taken so long to begin.  But once someone becomes acquainted with the depth and breadth of the task, and understands how much time it takes to retrain one’s thinking to embrace something so totally new and unique, they wonder no more.

Vonda and I also see no separation between our personal spiritual life, our fellowship with other believers, and our work.  Back in the 80’s I read a story about a black baptist Church.  The pastor was inspired by God to stop sending their meager collections overseas to missionaries and to invest that money in his people instead.  Over 90% of his congregation was on welfare. The Pastor started a Church run business and then invested the profits in businesses started by other congregation members.  In one generation the 100 year history of poverty within that congregation was wiped out and the poor to rich ratio reversed.  This is why we say we have a Church Ministry/Business. 

Through our online community we will help establish local fellowship groups within the traditional communities where our members live.   And together we will all work towards building intentional, faith-based communities that have active programs for assisting it’s members in the establishment of their own home-based businesses.   In this way there will be many options available to our community members; they can work outside the community, work inside with our community businesses, or create their own home-based business.

We are well aware of the disunity among Christians, even within the same congregation.  According to the 2001 edition of the World Christian Encyclopedia, there are 33,820 denominations.  This fact reveals the truth of the denominational church system’s underlying hypocrisy… there is no unity!  And without unity, there is no real love, only feigned love.

Through education about why 3CCC is a better way, followed by spiritual training on how to quiet one’s mind and meditate on God, our members will experience a degree of personal joy and peace few Christians ever know.  It is by going to the source for our inspiration, rather than other men and their writings, that we experience God’s power, individual Spiritual liberty and the abiding unity Christ promised.
