#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..church goers don’t have similar experiences because they aren’t willing to go anywhere and do anything to 0819

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..further the kingdom. We often gather for prayer and bible study and many times it has unleashed the Holy 0820

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..Spirit in such a powerful way that our bodies shake violently, so much so that we hold onto one another, for 0821

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..in doing so the shaking becomes more harmonious. Each time this has happened it begins as gentle vibrations. 0822

#3cccJournal2TwittBook But the intensity of God’s power continues to escalate and soon we were “higher” than any of us had ever been 0823

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..when we did drugs. Maybe we shook because we weren’t adept at directing God’s energy. It certainly felt as if 0824

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..our physical body couldn’t contain all the energy that was pouring in. But then I remembered that 19th century 0825

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..community group called the Shakers. And in that instant I understood, they too had experienced this shaking 0826

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..power and that’s why they’re called Shakers! I’ve done a little research since, and in their writings they 0827

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..have described similar experiences. Also, in a book published by “The Society of Brothers”, a community group 0828

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..that started in Germany just after World War I (they now have four communities including two in the US and one 0829

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..in England) I read their description of the same powerful shaking. But not only the shaking experiences; they 0830

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..also described the other aspect of our spiritual experiences, where God’s presence is so powerful and 0831

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..overwhelming that “no words of one’s own can be spoken”. That quote from one of their books was exactly what 0832

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..we have experienced on numerous occasions. It’s helped us accept that its actually “normal” to be so 0833

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..supernaturally blessed! On one such occasion, after having this shaking experience, we all felt the intensity 0834

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..of God’s presence so greatly that none of us was able to speak for the longest time. It was during this period 0835

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..of silence that I received an inner prompting to go see a couple our Northwood Christian Community recently 0836

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..befriended.  I went into the other room to retrieve my shoes and when I returned there was Joe coming down the 0837

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..stairs with his shoes. Without one word being spoken by anyone, with an utter certainty of knowing, each of 0838

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..us, both the two men and the two women, knew who we had to go visit, that Joe and I were to go, and that we 0839

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..needed to go now. Joe and I got into the car and drove for about 10 minutes in total silence. Finally Joe 0840

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..said, “This must be the Lord because I would never go to someone’s house at 2 in the morning”. When we 0841

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..arrived, Joe and I knocked on the door of the converted school bus he and his girlfriend lived in. The lights 0842

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..came on; he came to the door and yelled, “Yeah, what do you want”. I said, “We’re not sure why we’re here but 0843

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..God spoke to us and told us to come”. By this time he had opened up the bus door and when I said those words 0844

#3cccJournal2TwittBook ..he dropped to his knees and began crying, telling us that he & his girl had the worst fight they had ever had. 0845

#3cccJournal2TwittBook He prayed fervently to God that God would send someone to help them. 0846
