January 16, 1975: On obeying God’s commandments. We make a decision to try mutual respect for the strengths of both sexes by changing the way we hold meetings. We change the commune’s name from Qua Qua to The Garden of Jesus but more important, we see changes in each other’s attitudes and it is for the better.

January 11-13, 1975: On leadership and submission, confessing faults for healing, and sharing the love of God. Traveling back and forth between Middleton, NS and Qua Qua Commune, I take a position of leadership at Qua Qua, to help with its transition to a Christian community.

January 1975: We question the Bible’s stance on predestination, especially the belief it espouses that some who are evil were created that way. We return to Qua Qua commune and have discussions on cults and what it means to do the will of the Father.

December 1974 & January 1975: More excerpts from Richard Wurmbrand’s writings on Child Murder, Suicide, and Hatred as a Christian Virtue. On Faith.

December 1974: We learn about people who speak the truth, but not in love, not in meekness of wisdom, but with contention, striving to be right rather than striving for love and unity. I discover the writings of Richard Wurmbrand who spent 14 years in communist prisons for his faith.

Summer-Fall 1974: Mark and Beth and me are baptised in the river next to the Born-Again Barn. My idea for a Christian survival camp in the wilderness. We understand “walk not in the counsel of the ungodly” includes those we invite into our homes through the TV.

Summer-Fall 1974: What I learned during my heavenly sojourn. Misunderstandings regarding oneness with God. Why traditional church goers almost never experience the power of God, but rather a cheap emotional imitation. God’s power causes us to shake like the Shakers and renders us mute, like the Society of Brothers. God gives all of us a word of knowledge and in silence we wake up a friend at 2 am, saying, “God sent us”.

June-August 1974: God surrounds our car on Mt. Hanley with a white light that blots out this world. Amidst a great peace and joy I am taken to heaven while my friends remain motionless and speechless. I describe my heavenly experience, the many wondrous sights, the thought exchanges with the angels and am told why I was given this great gift.
