Leroy Greys Journal: From Fugitive to Builder of Faith-Based Green Communities

INTRODUCTION:

My entire journal is being Tweeted on Twitter.  This is a historic first, began on May 5, 2009.  This is two and a half months earlier than CNN’s recent report of another book being tweeted, that has claimed to be the first.  However, that author didn’t start tweeting till July 14, 2009.

My journal covers the years from 1969 to the present, although my first journal entry is 1971.  I wrote about my fugitive status a few years after the fact but it was still very fresh in my mind when I recorded my experiences in my journal.  There is a chronological outline of  events from 1966 to the present on my Journal’s intro page at http://intro.3circles.net.  Soon you’ll find that info by clicking on “Chronology Of Journal Events” and other menu items above (just haven’t had the time to do that yet).  My chronological outline will help you understand the context of my rags to riches, fugitive to faith-filled believer story.

That “intro” link also explains how to find all current tweets on Twitter using our hashtag (actually, due to a Twitter glitch, it’s our hashtag minus the hashtag!).  Since Twitter stopped archiving tweets past 14 days, the only way to get the most current 10-12 days of my serial installments is to do an advanced Twitter Search using “3cccJournal2TwittBook”  (without the quotes of course) and the date.  That link also provides a list with the number of tweets per day and the date those tweets were tweeted.

Some of my experiences are almost beyond belief.  Many of the stories of those I met on my journey of self-discovery are awe inspiring and amazing in terms of what humans can endure.

Of course, this is a personal journal, so don’t expect it to read like a novel.   But if you are into learning all you can about life, if you have a spiritual side that you’ve struggled with from time to time, then you’ll find my thought provoking discussions with friends and acquaintances challenging.  I can assure you, every word of my journal is absolutely true and heartfelt.

Follow me on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/@3CC_Community.  I recommend clicking on the link of my END tweet to meet & talk with me in my virtual, VOIP enabled conference room.

The following excerpt will help you see for yourself whether my journal makes for interesting reading.

Journal Excerpt:

I stepped out onto the pier we had nearly completed, looking down the lake at the surrounding mountains.  Everything was absolutely still and hushed; the lake was a mirror for all the heavens.  It was in this serene setting that I began to chant OM.  The sound was reverberating off the many cliffs that surrounded the small lake.

During a pause, as I was taking in air, my heart nearly stopped beating and my jaw dropped in breathless awe at the sounds I now heard.  I can only describe them as angelic.  There were high pitched sounds, very much like OM; they seemed to emanate from an invisible choir above the stand of 300 foot virgin Douglas Firs and ancient cedars on my left.  And mixed in with those angelic sounds was a low, rumbling, pulsing OM, that seemed to rise from the earth.

At first I didn’t know if I was imagining this or not.  But soon others came because of these sounds…

  • Hello,
If you are seeking to find houses for rent, houses for sale, flats for rent and anything else property related in the Spain area. YespanYa Property is your number one online website if you are searching for houses for sale, you can search by an array of dimensions including bedrooms and property type, you can also narrow your search down to price or amenities.

  • G

It would be awesome if you'd stop spamming Twitter and identi.ca.

Your blog posts are broken up into 10 or 15 tweets, then sprayed out at the public timeline on those sites. Unfortunately, they are often interspersed with other tweets from other people, so it's just illegible noise.

It's rude. Please stop. If you must autopost to twitter, post ONE tweet with a link to your new blog entry.

  • Hey "G"... would that be "Gabe" on identi.ca?

FYI, OVER THE PAST 9 MONTHS I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN ONE SINGLE POST TELLING ME MY JOURNAL POSTS WERE UNWANTED; NOT ONE PERSON TOLD ME POSTING MY JOURNAL WAS SPAM.

Instead, I have gotten a number of posts from people who began reading my journal and loved it. I can safely assume you haven't read it, and probably don't want to because it has a Christian message. If so, that's your problem, not mine. You don't have to subscribe/follow me; you can ignore my posts. I won't stop because "G" tells me to. I won't stop because YOU say its "Spam" (which its not; there is nothing being sold, no "gotcha's", just my journal being presented to a world of people with free choice to read or not to read).

"Illegible noise"? Not if you do a simple search for #3cccJournal2TwittBook. That way you can read each numbered tweet in order. Maybe you don't know how search works, or how hashtags are used but instead of sparking a discussion, outlining your concerns, you simply got "rude", then accuse me of being the "rude" one. Guess you must be a liberal too, since that's a typical liberal ploy. When libs want their way but don't have the truth or the people behind them they simply begin attacking those who disagree with their immoral or unsustainable positions.

From this point forward just hit delete. Its a really simple solution.

  • This comment is to encourage visitors to subscribe to my blog and comment. I KNOW there are a LOT of others out there with similar, non-fundamentalist, Christ-centered beliefs... but so far I've only met a very few. Please, join in on the conversation and give me and others like us hope!
